Mr. Jones was referred onto the Post Work Programme Support scheme back in May of this year. He had been out of work for a period of time due to transportation issues and the need to renew his CSCS card license. He is a qualified brick layer and with financial assistance could get back into employment.
The Shaw Trust were able to support him by funding the renewal of his CSCS card as to legally allow him to go onto sites and work. The CSCS card helped towards Mr. Jones employability, however transportation was continuing to become a major factor due to the remote locations of building sites.
Through the assistance of the delivery organisation, Mr. Jones was able to not only acquire an interview but also be accepted into a 'Group' of bricklayers whom already had transportation at the ready. This has led him to gain employment since June and is continuing to be sustained to this date.
