3SC has partnered with Tier 1 bidder Interserve to build comprehensive VCSE supply chains for the Transforming Rehabilitation (TR) competitions. The work this month has been particularly intense, as Interserve prepares to submit bids to the Ministry of Justice on June 30th. The bids will then be evaluated, with preferred bidders announced by September. Between now and then we will be developing detailed supply chain mobilisation plans, staffing structures, performance reporting regimes, and preparing ISPA contracts. Services are expected to ‘go live’ at the end of 2014, or by early 2015.
This month, 3SC’s Business Development Team has continued to develop new opportunities in criminal justice and employability.
I sometimes reflect on the future landscape of public services. By future I mean long-term or even generational timescales. It seems to me that the accepted demographic shift towards people living longer, plus deepening income inequality and consequent increasing social disadvantage amongst some groups are some of the key risks to public services over this timescale.

A fitting start to this month’s update is a quote from Benjamin Franklin: "Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success have no meaning" This certainly summarises the activity this month within 3SC Cymru as well as the fantastic steps forward taken by our Jobs Growth Wales candidates
