Congratulations to ELITE

Established in 1994, Elite Supported Employment Agency Ltd is a registered charity operating Supported Employment Services to people with disabilities, health conditions and those at a disadvantage across South and West Wales.  ELITE aim to empower individuals with disabilities and at a disadvantage to gain vocational experiences, access, obtain and maintain paid employment, via appropriate support.

Elite work with 3SC on the delivery of Specialist Employability Support.  ELITE’S person-centred approach matches customer’s abilities and needs to an appropriate work opportunity and the success of this strategy, is evident in their continued strong performance.

ELITE attributes it's success on this contract to the dedication and commitment of the staff and the formidable team spirit that drives them to continually achieve the best outcomes for the individuals they work with. It was this reason that the team was entered into the 2017 ERSA awards for the category of Team of the Year.

The Team of the Year Award recognised a team of frontline staff who have demonstrated outstanding commitment in meeting the delivery aims of an employment provider.

ELITE were delighted to be awarded a ‘highly commended’ finalist at the ERSA Employability Awards sponsored by Clarion Housing Group, in the Team of the Year Award category. The award was announced at a special ceremony in London that was hosted by BBC journalist Kirsty Lang, with a keynote speech provided by the Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work, Penny Mordaunt MP.

The Team of the Year Award was a new award category for 2017, sponsored  by the Institute of Employability Professionals and Empowering-Communities.

As highly commended in this category, ELITE demonstrated an outstanding track record of supporting jobseekers/former jobseekers and a steadfast commitment to employment support.

Zoe Gambling, Team Leader at ELITE said:

“Throughout my entire career, I can honestly say that I have never known a team like the one at ELITE. Every single member goes above and beyond in their role to ensure that the individuals we support receive the very best service that is tailored to the persons needs and always having our clients very best interests at the heart of everything they do.

Each member of the team joined ELITE for the very same reason, to make a difference to peoples’ lives; to enable people to be independent and to believe in themselves and this approach is embedded across the whole organisation.

Not only do the team go above and beyond for our clients and employers, but also each other. The level of commitment, dedication and professionalism the team has is demonstrated through our success quality of service and reputation in the local area. I am exceptionally proud of the team and also to say that we work for ELITE”

This year the awards judges included Heidi Allen MP, a member of the Work and Pensions Committee in the last Parliament; a senior official from the Department for Work and Pensions; a senior researcher at the Resolution Foundation; and last years winner of the Adviser of the Year Award, Keith Tottingham.

Kirsty McHugh, Chief Executive of ERSA, said:

“These awards celebrate the very best in class – the frontline advisers who go above and beyond to help the journey to work, the employers who give people a chance in the workforce and the jobseekers themselves, who often overcome a range of barriers to enter work and change their lives and those of their families.  This year, the entries were a particularly high quality and our judges had an extremely difficult task in picking the winners.

“Their work deserves to be recognised and the awards give us an opportunity to say thank you and celebrate these achievements.”

3SC would like to thank ELITE for their contribution to date and congratulate them on their recognition at the ERSA Awards.
