We are absolutely delighted to be a part of the DWP’s Specialist Employability Support programme with the Royal National College of the Blind as the contract prime, which has launched at the beginning of September.
3SC will be managing a dedicated, specialist, national network of 19 Delivery partners helping those living with visual impairments to move towards employment. The programme will ensure 1,700 people will receive work-related support, 300 of which will be living with a visual impairment.
Each SES customer will work closely with the Royal National College of the Blind and 3SC to ensure their personalised support plan is suited to their specific needs. We will work to improve vital employability skills, motivation and training whilst offering a pro-active advisory and support structure.
3SC’s responsibility for delivering Access to Work across Wales as a prime gives us a valuable insight into the challenges people face and allow us, through our partners, to ensure great relationships between individuals, employers and support. These great relationships can only mean one thing, great results. Results that are manifested as real changes in people’s everyday lives.
Anyone wanting to become involved in SES can contact their local Job Centre DEA or Work coaches and discuss the next steps for them.
Paul Johnson, Delivery Manager for SES with 3SC said ‘This is a marvellous opportunity and a great contract, a lot of hard work has gone in and we’re delighted to be able to offer such comprehensive support to the RNC contract through our partners. I’m looking forward to making that difference for our participants’.
