Sarah was referred to the SES programme in February 2016. She was introduced to this provision as she lives with both a visual and hearing impairment requiring intensive support to aid her to complete pre-employment activities, increase her confidence and her self-belief in preparation for suitable employment opportunities.

The Merthyr Tydfil Institute for the Blind (MTIB) delivers the Specialist Employability Support (SES) programme for 3SC/RNC in South Wales and is a long-standing charity with experience of supporting individuals living with disabilities and disadvantages into employment.

Andrew joined RNIB Scotland working with our Specialist Employability Support (SES) programme. Living with a visual impairment and not being employed had left Andrew feeling very nervous and lacking in confidence. He was however, very keen to push himself and to prove he could work. Andrew’s RNIB Adviser identified a number of ways they could work together, this included support with job search, completing application forms and writing cover letters.

Pam works for Empower SVS based in Ynysboeth which is nestled in the hills North of Cardiff. Empower themselves work to support the third sector whilst Pam manages the office, keeping all the plates spinning and making sure clients such as the CAB and Communities First are happy.

Lucy had suffered from CFS/M.E which at times can be extremely debilitating and made getting a job impossible. Dezanjo had noticed the potential in Lucy and with the help of 3SC and the Jobs Growth Wales scheme, she was provided with a position within the company.
