ERSA Award for 3SC!
On the 28th November 3SC was delighted to attend the ERSA Conference and Awards in London. The event was well attended with over 400 delegates from the employment related services sector and featured prestigious speakers including the Minister for Employment, Jo Churchill MP and the Shadow Minister for Employment Alison McGovern MP. Pannel sessions were diverse and covered topics such as ‘Breaking the Cycle of Long Term Unemployment’, ‘Future Employability Commissioning’ and ‘Artificial Intelligence as an Enabler’.
The workshops were a brilliant opportunity to speak to experts and have a more in-depth discussion. We particularly enjoyed hearing Dr Kyle Henderson from our partner, The Better Health Generation, talking about purpose and behaviour change as well as Richard Straus from Offploy providing an overview of supporting participants with convictions. Jane Knight from Successful Mums gave us a master class on supporting entrepreneurial Mums and inspired the audience to take the Successful Mum’s approach back to their own programmes.
The highlight of the event was the ERSA Awards, where 3SC was fortunate to be a shortlisted in two categories. We were a finalist in the Community Outreach Award alongside our partners Belina Grow, Successful Mums, The Write Time, BEAM, Renaisi and Twin Group. It was great to be able to celebrate our achievements on the Parental Employment Programme in London with those that were there. Even better was the news that we won the Award for Sharing Best Practice!
Our Director, Kathryn said;
“Winning this award is testament to the development that 3SC has made this year, supporting our flourishing membership programme and implementing opportunities for partners and members to learn and grow with us.
We were very proud to be in such great company with the other finalists and we hope to continue to innovate, join up the dots and support small and third sector organisations in the employability and justice sectors”.
