When this customer began the Neurodiversity Strategy Coaching programme, supported by Tony Adamson, Neurodiversity Coach, they were struggling under the weight of workplace pressure, uncertainty, and declining wellbeing. They were on a performance management plan, overwhelmed by their caseload, and unsure how to prioritise or retain key work processes. Stress and anxiety had become daily companions. Even activities that once supported their wellbeing, like going to the gym had fallen away. Combined with family health challenges and long hours spent trying to catch up, they felt stuck, exhausted, and increasingly doubtful about their future in the role.
What followed over the course of their coaching journey was nothing short of transformative.
Rebuilding Skills, Confidence, and Control
Through the Neurodiversity Strategy Coaching programme, the customer developed a range of practical and cognitive skills that helped them regain control of their work and wellbeing.
- Prioritisation and efficiency, supported by tools like the Eisenhower Matrix
- Reflective thinking, enabling them to understand patterns and make intentional changes
- Improved listening and communication, especially with managers and senior colleagues
- Accountability and self advocacy, shifting from fear of being wrong to confidence in seeking clarity
- Proactive problem solving, described as “running towards the fire” rather than avoiding challenges
- Reconnecting with their academic background, particularly insights from their Psychology degree
- Using behavioural tools, such as the ACT Choice Point, to navigate difficult moments
These skills didn’t just improve their performance they reshaped how they saw themselves and their capabilities.
A Dramatic Shift in Workplace Performance
The impact of coaching was quickly reflected in their professional standing. They successfully came off their Performance Development Plan and began managing their workload with far greater confidence and structure. Their caseload reduced, their stress levels dropped significantly, and their manager recognised their progress to the point of recommending them for advancement.
Where once they questioned whether they could succeed in the role, they now look ahead with optimism and a renewed sense of possibility.
A New Emotional Landscape
The emotional transformation was just as profound as the practical one. The customer now describes feeling:
- Motivated
- Curious
- Safe
- Focused
- Proud
- Inspired
They repeatedly emphasised how valuable the coaching space felt non judgemental, therapeutic, and genuinely safe. What began with low expectations became, in their own words, “life changing.”
Looking Ahead With Confidence
With a stronger foundation of skills, self belief, and workplace strategies, the customer now plans to continue progressing in their role and maintain the positive trajectory they’ve built. The coaching programme didn’t just help them survive a difficult period—it equipped them to thrive long term.
A Powerful Example of What Neurodiversity Strategy Coaching Can Achieve

By focusing on strengths, building personalised strategies, and creating a safe space for growth, the programme helped this customer reclaim their confidence, improve their performance, and rediscover hope for the future.
It’s a reminder that with the right support, people don’t just cope they flourish.
