At 3SC, we believe that education works best when it works for everyone. That’s why we’re proud to launch our Neurodiversity Toolkit for Educators, a practical, strengths based resource designed to support educators working with neurodivergent learners across all settings.

Built from our hands on experience delivering education, training, and support for neurodivergent people since 2019, this toolkit brings together evidence informed guidance, real world strategies, and inclusive practice that educators can apply immediately.
Why we created the toolkit
Around 20% of the UK population is neurodivergent, yet many learners continue to face barriers in mainstream education. Too often, neurodivergence is misunderstood, unsupported, or identified too late, leading to disengagement, poorer outcomes, and unnecessary frustration for learners and educators alike.
We know that teachers, tutors, SEND leads, and education professionals are under real pressure. This toolkit was created to help, not to add another thing on the to do list, but to offer clear, flexible approaches that fit into day to day practice.
It’s designed to be dipped into, adapted, and revisited, because there is no single “right” way to support neurodivergent learners.
What’s inside
The toolkit covers a wide range of neurodivergent experiences, including:
- ADHD
- Autism
- Dyslexia
- Developmental Coordination Disorder (Dyspraxia)
- Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
- Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
Alongside condition specific guidance, there’s a strong focus on executive function, recognising that challenges with planning, organisation, emotional regulation, working memory, and task initiation often cut across diagnoses.
You’ll also find:
- Practical classroom strategies and “what to avoid” guidance
- Universal adjustments that benefit all learners
- Digital tools and apps to support learning and wellbeing
- Guidance for online and blended learning environments
- Reflective questions to support continuous improvement
- A printable Top 20 Quick Adjustments Any Educator Can Make
Throughout, the toolkit takes a person centred, strengths based approach, focusing on what learners can do and how small, thoughtful adjustments can make a big difference.
Grounded in evidence, shaped by experience.
The strategies in this toolkit align with high quality teaching principles highlighted by the Education Endowment Foundation, SEND Code of Practice, the Equality Act 2010, and Ofsted’s expectations around adaptive teaching and inclusive practice.
More importantly, they’re strategies we use ourselves, every day, in our own programmes and partnerships.
Who the toolkit is for
The Neurodiversity Toolkit for Educators is ideal for:
- Teachers and teaching assistants
- SEND leads and coordinators
- Tutors, trainers, and learning supporting adults
- Colleges, universities, and alternative provisions
Whether you’re just starting your neurodiversity journey or looking to deepen existing practice, there’s something here for you.
Support beyond the toolkit

- Short awareness sessions and staff briefings
- Half day and full day neurodiversity training
- Level 2 Accredited Neurodiversity courses (including education and justice settings)
