New Parental Employment Contract in London
3SC are delighted to announce that in August 2020, we were awarded the new ‘Parental Employment Programme’ from the Greater London Authority (GLA). The programme started in November 2020 and will continue through to June 2023.
This contract has been commissioned by the GLA, using ESF funding to help unemployed people and low paid workers gain the skills they need to find jobs and progress in their careers. This programme will work with parents of children aged between 6 months and 11 years and support them to overcome their employment challenges. The service will support both unemployed/economically inactive parents to help them find and sustain work as well as work with employed parents to help them progress in work through promotion, taking on more hours or finding better paid employment. Employers wishing to become more family friendly will also be able to access the service to obtain support, tools and practical skills.
The 3SC grant is mainly for South London, covering the areas of Richmond upon Thames, Kingston upon Thames, Merton, Sutton and Croydon. We will also be doing some delivery in parts of West London.
