Good News Story: Agnieszka

Agnieszka joined us as part of our Virtual coaching programme and almost immediately demonstrated the astonishing array of positive qualities she possesses. The question was how we could put them best to use to ensure she was living a life that reflected who she was, allowing her to reach her goals.

Agnieszka felt that she was lost, isolated from family and friends and feeling unmotivated. She lived in a big city with little nature, lots of noise and no peace. She also described feeling alone as she dealt with emotional challenges surrounding the loss of loved ones.

Our sessions were arranged around Agnieszka and an IT outage or two. We demonstrated our agility and tenacity to overcome issues and to ensure that we came to our sessions engaged and targeted.

It was a genuine joy for us to work with Agnieszka, she is a naturally insightful, talented, positive and energetic person who engaged fully in the shaping of her own coaching journey.

We worked on a number of things some of which included;

  • Identifying Neurodivergent specific triggers and resulting mitigative strategies.
  • Organisation – Splitting and managing tasks in a way that works for our brains.
  • What is important – clarifying exactly why we want things and how to get there.

At the end of our sessions, we had covered a fair amount of ground.

In Agnieszka’s own words;

“I would like to express my gratitude for all our sessions, prior to which I was a messy sleeper, an overeater, with no understanding of neuro-diverse aspects of my life. I didn’t have much comprehension of how unorthodox my attitude towards any project’s delivery was, nor how much my unorganised routines of completing daily home tasks were complicating my life further.

During our insightful conversations you gave me food for thought about perhaps being neuro-atypical. I followed with a simple test and I scored medium-low on an ADHD spectrum scale. Although I might wait for a very long time for a full diagnosis on the NHS, I remember you made me aware that I mustn’t wait for changes to happen but work hard towards making them happen.

Additionally, since I have started analysing my daily behaviour, I am pretty convinced I suffer from OCD, but only in certain aspects (keeping my kitchen and bathroom clean) and to a little extent.

We have had quite a few full-on sessions, where we both agreed that they were dramatic, in the sense of my self-discovery. I am still observing daily my quirky ways and try to be kind to myself, rather than chastising myself for being me.”

Working with Agnieska was a pleasure and we wish her all the best in the rest of our journey.
