HOW 3SC’S NEURODIVERSE STRATEGY COACHING PROGRAMME HELPED JO OVERCOME HER CHALLENGES.

3SC work with a number of organisations including Tony Adamson at TRA Coaching, to deliver coaching and mentoring strategies on our nationwide Neuro-Diverse Strategy Coaching (NDSC) Programme for people with neuro-diverse conditions. Individuals are matched with one of our coaches based on their requirements. Each session is tailored to the individual’s specific needs and goals. The provision has proved to be extremely successful and popular, working with 2000+ clients and over 700 organisations.

 

Before receiving Neurodiverse strategy coaching with Tony Adamson, Jo was frequently stressed and overwhelmed, and turning inwards when this happened. She was struggling with time management, energy levels, which was a hangover from COVID, and struggling with self-worth and negative feelings. She had a difficulty managing her neurodivergent symptoms, such as time blindness, dealing with change, maintaining focus (lack of interest). She experienced hypermobility in my hands and wrists which are exacerbated due to typing and struggled to ask for help and support. Jo’s employer encouraged her to apply for Neurodiverse Coaching with 3SC.

 

As a result of coaching Jo has learned not to turn inward, and go into herself when she felt stressed. Now she finds it much easier to ask for help when she needs it. She can recognise her stress levels and when she is feeling overwhelmed. She has tools to monitor her mood levels and check in with herself (which is different to how it was before). She can catch the negative thoughts before they get too overwhelming. She has improved her stress management and self-regulation skills so she can better manage her emotions and responses. Jo is now using affirmations to help improve her self-worth and doing these regularly. Saying these out loud gives them power!

 

Jo says, she is finding it easier to manage her time, energy levels and because she is not stressed and overwhelmed, she has more energy. She believes that she has improved how she sees herself. Jo would describe herself as calmer, more capable and able. Jo decided to drop a day at work, which was as a result of wanting to better manage her energy with a break and time to recharge. She says, she wouldn’t have done this before as she would’ve struggled to ask for help. Her partner has also noticed the positive change in her.

 

Jo feels more positive, calmer/less stressed, and proud of the progress she has made. She says:

 

“It’s nice to look back and see how far I’ve come! Have tried online coaching before which felt very prescriptive, and didn’t help. This experience has felt more tailored to my specific, personal situation.”

 

She is looking forward to a more positive future by continuing with affirmations and checking in with herself. Jo says:

 

“I’m happy with where I am at the moment so I’m just going to carry on with what I’m currently doing”.
